Dry Stream Beds

Today was yet another absolutely spectacular day. Sunny, breezy, warm but with low humidity. Susie and Linda came to ride with me. I got Marie ready and met them at the parking spot by my old house. We decided to ride to up Dead River Rd. to the Starbird Corner Rd and then took the trail that cuts across to Lewis Hill. We took a side trail to the pipeline then to Lewis Hill that we hadn't done in a while and it was very nice. Then we took the back trail through the East Cathace Stream. We couldn't believe how dry the stream is! None of us have ever seen it so dry. The only place there really was any water along the trail was at the beaver pond and the large puddle beside it. The end of the back trail from the East Cathance Stream is getting very overgrown but we managed to plow our way through. The rest of the trail was still pretty good. We had a great ride.We were out a little over 2.5 hrs. and did 9.3 miles.
